Past Events
South Africa’s economy is divided into two halves, the organised and the informal.
The organised economy is in bigger central business districts such as Sandton, Cape Town Waterfront, Tygervalley, Canal Walk etc with high tech security, business structures and responsive local, provincial and national public private partnerships with supported entities such as Wesgro, Cape Town Partnerships, Gauteng Economic Development Agency and many others, who solely focus on central business district economies with very little or no impact on township and rural economies.
The informal economy is in townships and rural villages as there is little or no support or backing from local, provincial, national government and the private sector.
It is through the above background that Innovating Africa’s Future came into being, a non-profit company focussing on public private partnerships that are aimed at township and rural development in South Africa.
